Our Mission

SkiTripWorld exists to give skiers a reliable, independently researched reference for choosing where to ski. There are hundreds of ski resorts across the world and almost no neutral place to compare them — most resort guides are written by tourism boards, monetised through booking commissions, or rely on user review aggregates that reward notoriety over quality.

Every resort on SkiTripWorld is assessed by the editorial team against a published scoring methodology, scored on 10 specific dimensions, and described in plain English. No resort pays to appear, to improve their score, or to appear in any recommendation.

How Resort Profiles Are Created

Each resort profile is built from documented public sources: official resort statistics, independent snowfall records, published lift maps and piste counts, and cross-referenced travel reporting. The editorial team does not claim firsthand visits to every resort in the catalogue — where on-mountain experience informs a score it is noted; where it does not, scores reflect documented evidence and the published rubric.

New profiles go through a two-stage process:

1. Research pass: mountain statistics, altitude, piste breakdown, lift count and modernity, snowfall records, and village character are gathered from primary sources.
2. Editorial scoring: each of the 10 dimensions is scored against the published rubric, with supporting evidence noted internally. Scores are reviewed by a second editor before publication.

Review and Update Cadence

Each resort profile shows two dates:

• Last Reviewed — when the profile content (descriptions, mountain statistics, transfer times, best-for tags) was last verified and updated.
• Score Reviewed — when the 10 dimension scores were last reassessed against the current rubric. Scores are re-evaluated when significant infrastructure changes occur — new lifts, major snowmaking investment, village redevelopment — or on a scheduled review cycle.

Profiles not reviewed within two years display a notice encouraging readers to verify details independently. All price figures carry a season year stamp and disclaimer.

Commercial Disclosure

SkiTripWorld V1 carries no advertising, affiliate links, or sponsored content. No resort, tour operator, or travel brand has paid for placement, improved scores, or positive editorial coverage.

If commercial arrangements are introduced in future — contextual advertising or clearly labelled partner content — they will be disclosed prominently on every affected page and will not influence editorial scores or rankings.
